Monday December 2nd

Where are you right now on your "Who Do You Think You Are" project? What did you do over the break for the project? Did you interview anyone? Use the checklist below to figure out what you have finished, what you are still working on and what you still have to do.

I guess i'm half way done with my final. I did absolutely nothing over the break. I didn't interview anybody. I still have to do my interview, I've finished my letter but still need to send it out. currently working on my family tree, still need my infographic, and my stop motion/ storyboard.

> How did you stop motion animation turn out? If you could give it a grade, what would you give it out of 60 points? What did you learn from creating this video?

I would give it probably a 58 because its cool. its a drawn animation. the pictures look nice. I'm also adding music. There all the things required from the rubric. I learned nothing because this was mostly review for me. I have done these things before.

Monday November 11th

How far along are you on your stop motion animation? What did you do over the weekend to work on you stop motion animation? Do you have all your pictures today? Will you have all your pictures by the end of the hour? Give me a detailed updated.

I am not even close to being done. I came up with ideas for a video i want to do now. I have no pictures to upload. No i will not have all my pictures by the end of the hour. I have no pictures what so ever i do have an idea but it will not be finished by the end of the hour.

What are you planning on doing for your stop-motion animation video? What story are you going to tell? How will your video be fun and different? Who is taking your photos? When are you taking your photos?

I plan on making a drawn stop motion that should look cool if it plays out the way it does in my mind. I am not going to tell a story this is just to display fun art work in motion. It will be fun because its always cool to pictures move. I will probably be taking the photos. I will take my photos over the weekend.

My story will tel of a boy a bully and a friendly passer by. One day a boy was walking through the halls. When a bully sees him coming and decides to do something.  The bully trips him. The boy hits the ground. Then a walking students comes over to help him up.

 What photo editing tool(s) have you used so far on your 5 photos project? Do you like the tool? Is it easy to use? Hard to use? What's good about it? Whats bad about it? Give a detailed review of the tool.

I have used pixlr the entire time. I like this tool because you don't have to know anything about it to work it easily. You can figure things out so this tool isn't hard to use. The good points about it that it gives tools that can change the entire picture with just one click. Pixlr is a online web tool that edits photos very easily. i recommend this to everybody that needs to edit a photo. You can easily edit a photo by cropping or just adding a filter. I like pixlr as one of my favorite editing tools.

What are the pros and cons to photo editing? What are some examples of when photo editing is fun and appropriate? When can photo editing be inappropriate or too much?

 The pros of photo editing is that you can change a photo to look the way you want it to and it will more likely appeal to more people. Many pictures of models are taken and then edited to look better than they already look or how ever they looked. Many scanned in pictures that are later edited with some sort of coloring tool and depending on how good the artist is they usually come out in cool highly detailed pictures. Many and all pictures can be edited and using inappropriate pictures this is a bad time to edit. The other time is when you try to over edit a picture.

What is your favorite web tool that we have used in class so far this year? Why is it your favorite web tool? What do you like about it? How can you use it again in the future? My favorite online tool would probably be prezi. This my favorite because you can do several things with it. you can create presentations easily. you can make more than with just presentations. You can also make guides and other things with prezi and its fun. Thats why i have enjoyed prezi so far.

How was you're Weekend?

My weekend was fairly normal. I decided to draw after two months of nothing. I mostly sat around and watched T.V. I also didn't move for five hours watching YouTube videos. The extra sleep was wonderful just like every week. I went to church but it wasn't very fun. I didn't have to camera work so that was nice. Overall my week was like any other but it was a nice weekend.

What makes a presentation memorable? What makes a presentation stand out and not boring? How are you going to make your presentation better than anyone else? How will you make it unique? Explain.

Most people remember something better, if it was interesting. The only way to make it stand out is you're choice  there is no specific way to make a presentation stand. I do not know how to make mine stand out because i don't like presentations. This is going to be in the shot in the dark because I've never tried to make my presentations interesting; I have always stuck with just give the information and add pictures because they were required . I wonder how this will all work out?

 What did you learn from the Ted Talk yesterday? Did you find it interesting or accurate? Explain.

I learned that humans crave for attention. We will go to machines for comfort. I found that a lot of this information was accurate because we see it in real life all the time. That depending on how we feel will affect what we type on a text. In this age we will soon turn to machines to have conversations with how ever i don't think this very true because many people still have normal conversations with each other. A lot of this or what she talked about wasn't really that interesting because its more like the people she studied are like that but not everybody is.

What do you love about the "digital age" that we currently live in? What do you dislike about it? What are positives ways you use technology in your life? What are some things that come along with technology that you don't like? Explain.

What i love the digital age is some of the online networks that they have made but not all of them. One of my favorite is YouTube because whenever i need a laugh or i need to know something its right there. Many websites have been put on that if you need to know anything its probably on the internet. But however there are many bad social network that has corrupted the minds of the young, one of those networks are Facebook yes you find your friends and chat and post pictures however; it has given the liberty to put down others and think they can do whatever then post pictures about it. Many social networking sites i think they have made a lot of young teens dumber than they were. Again there many people who are still considerate online but most of it has been taken over by people just to put down others.

Tuesday October 8th

 Tell me about your Homecoming weekend (whether you went to the activities or not!). Tell me about what you did over the weekend.

On homecoming weekend i did absolutely nothing. Over the weekend all i did was worked out for an hour. I also drew for a while, and forgetting to save my work on the computer. Then i watched a lot of YouTube videos both days. I tried camera work for my church and that was fun. Then the rest of the time all i did was play video games because i had nothing better to do. I had a lot of food to eat which was delicious  I also got to sleep in one day that was very satisfying. Thats practically my weekend.

What do you know about infographics?

Infographics are one sheet/poster that tells people about one specific thing and how they affect or all the thing related to it. For example if i have a infograph about water levels and what would happen if the world flooded. I would put the levels of the lowest cities that would be flooded first. Infographics are also used for advertisement. They can show why there better that the leading brand. Inforgraphics are really just to tell people about one thing and what they do or effect.

My plans for the weekend are simple. Today after school finish homework for all classes. Later go to the football game. Then come home with a friend and have a horror movie movie marathon. Saturday sleep in fro extra 4 hours. Then do what ever for that day video games, T.V., work out a little that is Saturday. Sunday same plan except to go to church that day. That is my weekend.

Wednesday September 25th

Most students view siting work as 'a pain in the butt'. How do you feel about it? Is it necessary? When is it appropriate to cite work? What's the importance of it? Well i think most students just don't want to work in the first place. I agree with other kids and this statement that sitting work is a pain in the but. However it is necessary for our education  Our education is what will get us through in life, like getting a good job in the future. Its important to cite work when you get it from someone website especially if you do it without there permission. This shows that it is not your background knowledge and you got from somebody who did.

What is your favorite book, magazine, or publication? Why?
I do not have a favorite book. I do not like to read so that is one reason why i  have a favorite. All the books i have read they never  super violent. None of the books have any intense action. Most of the books just has very predictable mystery. That why i don't have a favorite.

Do you enjoy writing? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why is writing an essential skill in life? How will you use this skill in the future?

I hate to write it is one of my least favorite subjects. It has never appealed to me it always seems like to much work and to much useless information that i wont need to know if i'm not going to be a writer. I don't enjoy any types of writing what so ever. It is essential because we use it every day without knowing. Like texting  we text every day which is writing. I will not be using this skill for a career in the future. I don't plan to use it to much when i'm out of college.

What is creating an outline for a paper important? Do you think it helps you personally? How would you prefer to outline a paper - pen and paper or an online tool? Is there a different way you know if that would prefer to organize your thoughts?

Creating outlines are important for writing. It helps with organization which will make the paper flow better. Personally i don't thin that outlines will help because i think they're a waste of time. I don't like to do outlines but if i had to choose it would probably be online. I have no other way of deciding what is another good outline too.

Tell me about your weekend. Where did you go? What did you do? My weekend was just like any other weekend. I went to church was really the only place i went out to. I mostly did homework over the weekend. The rest was just sitting around doing nothing. If you ask for more from me this is all you'll get. I don't do a whole lot over the weekend.

Wednesday September 11th

Who do you look up to in life? Why? What have they done to help you or guide you? I look up to a man named Mark Crilley he is an artist that does many tutorial videos and writes manga which are thing i really enjoy and like. He has helped me learn to draw things i'm interested in. He has shown videos that let put in more detail into pictures. He has also influenced since i will major in graphic design and animation hopefully in the future. He will be the person who will influence probably the rest of my life.

What is good email etiquette and why is it essential in the "real" world? How can having good email etiquette put you ahead? Having good email etiquette is essential throughout the rest of your life. Having good etiquette will make you sound more professional. People will more likely to take you in a serious manner. People will respond with the same professional attitude you did to them. This is good for the real world because people expect you to take your job seriously so you can keep your job. Good etiquette will put you ahead because people will understand what you want plain and simple.

Friday September 6th

If there was one global issue i could fix, it would be stop pollution.

If we stopped pollution it would be an amazing miracle to the world. In several places pollution is caused by air pollution from cars and factories. There is also water pollution by mixing waste into water. If we stopped pollution people would be healthier because do to the stop of air pollution, people would breath fresher air which can actually make you healthier with the excessive amount of oxygen. If we fixed water pollution we would have more water to drink even in other countries like Africa where its needed.

This would also lead to more trees being grown because less tractors and other vehicles  in the forest to kill the tress with over carbon dioxide. with this more plants and animals would be born and grow faster. This why i think if we stopped pollution would be the greatest issue to fix.

On Friday we discussed Public Service Announcements. In your own words tell me what they are and what their purpose is. If you could create a PSA what would your topic be? Why?The purpose of a public service announcements is to tell the public that something with some significance should be known throughout that country, state, or community. An example is a public service announcement about the swine flu  it was broadcasted all over america for months because it was something that was happening currently. Over all the main purpose is to tell you whats going on.If i could create a PSA it would be about Africa because today in Africa is in wreck, There is a lot of poverty, Many foreign companies but they don't help, But if you go on a humanitarian affair you can help the people. Thats what mine would be about.

Friday August 30th

My hobbies are all done outside of school. I like to play the guitar, I've been playing for six years. I also like to draw because you get to draw what you like. Some things i like are food, especially meat meat is delicious. I also like action movies like Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, Black Hawk Down.

I like to watch cartoons because i'm practically a five year old in a 16 year old body. I also love sleep its wonderful to feel refreshed from a day of school, but sad to know i have to go back after i wake up. That's all there is to know about me.

Wednesday August 28th

Qualities that make a presentation interesting are the ones that sound interesting. Having a good attitude will make a huge difference. Being upbeat will make people believe that it sounds interesting. Having pictures also help. Stimulating viewers with pictures will keep things interesting in there own minds.

Speaking clearly will is a huge advantage at keeping people interested. When speaking clearly it will help people understand what your talking about. Mumbling will just make people want you to restart and try again. I thinks these things will help your viewers understand what you are try to say.

 "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted I should be able to use it."I don't think images on the internet are free game because if they are copyrighted you cant use without permission or siting it when your done. I think you can use them but you cant just use it without tracing it back to its owner. If you don't site it its plagiarism which can get you arrested.Using pictures from the internet is defiantly helpful. Not siting them is very bad. It could get you arrested. So when using pictures make sure to site pages so people know its not yours and wont misunderstand.

Today in our age many technology advances have been made. This has also brought new ways to find personal information. This is important cause now it is easier to find somebody 500 miles away. This could also risk loosing money to scammers and loosing money from your bank account. You need to be careful when online because just visiting a website could loose all your protected information.

To protect yourself don't go onto needless websites. Some people will bug websites just to steal information. IF on a social network when creating or editing an account don't put out your very personal information. Set up firewalls and virus cleaners to make sure your computer is free of bugs. This has never happened to me but it could happen to you.

After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."

After watching the short video i found that not always trying to have or be the newest thing out there is to really be yourself and don't let somebody else try to change that. You can make your own way your own career and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Always be kind with each other and generous so that everyone can prosper.

The quote means to me is that everything was create by somebody that is just as smart as me. you can create anything if you set you're mind to it. That anybody can create the future for the better of mankind. That everyone has the ability to get a career and do something with there life.
